Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme (PMIS) एक सरकारी initiative है जो भारतीय युवाओं को देश की top companies में paid internship के मौके देता है। इसकी घोषणा वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने Union Budget 2024-25 में की थी। इसका मकसद classroom की पढ़ाई और industry की ज़रूरतों के बीच की gap को कम करना है।
Scheme को Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) implement कर रहा है। 3 October 2024 को इसका pilot project launch किया गया। पाँच साल में 1 करोड़ युवाओं को internship देने का target है – top 500 companies में। Pilot phase में 1.25 लाख opportunities का लक्ष्य रखा गया था।
क्या बदला है? (Latest Updates – बहुत ज़रूरी)
Scheme में March 2026 से कई बड़े changes हुए हैं। पुरानी articles पढ़ रहे हैं तो सावधान रहें – नियम अब बदल चुके हैं।
ये changes 12 March 2026 की revised guidelines के तहत लागू हुए। इसका कारण था कि पहले दो rounds में response कम रहा – 13 लाख से ज़्यादा applications आईं लेकिन सिर्फ 3,730 candidates ने internship complete की।
कौन apply कर सकता है? (Eligibility Criteria)
Age: 18 से 25 साल के बीच (application submit करने की तारीख के अनुसार)
Education: इनमें से कोई एक qualification होनी चाहिए:
- 10th pass (High School)
- 12th pass (Higher Secondary)
- ITI certificate
- Polytechnic diploma
- Graduation (BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA, B.Pharma, BE/BTech etc.)
- Postgraduation (MA, M.Sc, M.Com, MCA, MTech etc.)
Final-year students: अब graduate और postgraduate के final-year students भी apply कर सकते हैं, लेकिन college/university से NOC (No Objection Certificate) लेना होगा।
Employment status: Full-time job नहीं होनी चाहिए।
Education status: Full-time course में enrolled नहीं होना चाहिए – सिवाय final-year students के। Online/distance learning programmes allowed हैं।
Family income: Annual family income ₹8 लाख से ज़्यादा नहीं होनी चाहिए। “Family” का मतलब है – self, parents, और spouse।
कौन apply नहीं कर सकता? (Not Eligible)
इन categories के candidates eligible नहीं हैं:
- Top institutes के graduates: IITs, IIMs, National Law Universities, IISER, NIDs, IIITs
- Professional degree holders: CA, CMA, CS, MBBS, BDS, MBA, PhD, या कोई master’s/higher degree
- पहले से किसी सरकारी scheme में: किसी Central/State Government scheme के तहत skill program, apprenticeship, internship, या training program कर रहे हैं
- NATS/NAPS complete कर चुके हैं: National Apprenticeship Training Scheme या National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme complete कर चुके हैं
- Family में government employee: परिवार (self, parents, spouse) में कोई permanent/regular government employee है
- International candidates: Eligible नहीं हैं
Stipend और Benefits
Monthly Stipend: ₹9,000 per month
(Yeh ₹5,000 से बढ़ाया गया है March 2026 से)
One-time grant: ₹6,000 (incidental expenses के लिए)
Insurance: Interns को PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana और PM Suraksha Bima Yojana के तहत insurance cover मिलता है – premium government pay करती है
कैसे apply करें? (Step-by-step Application Process)
सारी registration और submission सिर्फ official portal पर होती है:
Step 1: Official website खोलें – pminternship.mca.gov.in
Step 2: Homepage पर “Register” option पर click करें
Step 3: Registration details भरें – personal details, educational qualifications, contact information etc.
Step 4: Aadhaar-based e-KYC complete करें
Step 5: Documents upload करें (list नीचे देखें)
Step 6: System automatically resume generate करेगा
Step 7: “Internship Opportunities” section में जाएँ और अपनी preference के अनुसार internships पर apply करें
Note: एक candidate maximum 3 internships के लिए एक साथ apply कर सकता है। Application free है – कोई fee नहीं।

कौन-से documents चाहिए?
Apply करते समय ये documents/pieces of information ready रखें:
- Aadhaar Card (e-KYC के लिए)
- Educational certificates/mark sheets (10th, 12th, ITI, Diploma, Graduation – जो भी applicable हो)
- Income proof (family income ₹8 lakh से कम दिखाने के लिए)
- Bank account details (Aadhaar से linked हो)
- Recent passport-size photo
- (Final-year students के लिए) – College/University से NOC
क्या कोई application deadline है?
PMIS rolling basis पर चलती है – कोई एक annual deadline नहीं है। Different companies की different application windows होती हैं। Pilot phase का third round currently underway है और December 2026 तक extend किया गया है।
Best approach: Official portal (pminternship.mca.gov.in) पर regularly check करते रहें – नए internships आते रहते हैं और जैसे ही seats fill होती हैं, applications close हो जाती हैं।

Q: क्या 12th pass students apply कर सकते हैं?
हाँ, 12th pass candidates eligible हैं। 10th pass candidates भी eligible हैं।
Q: क्या मैं final year में apply कर सकता/सकती हूँ?
हाँ – March 2026 के बाद final-year UG और PG students apply कर सकते हैं। NOC अपनी institution से लेना होगा।
Q: क्या मैं पढ़ाई के साथ internship कर सकता/सकती हूँ?
