Who Can Get E-Shram Card? (Eligibility Criteria / किसे मिल सकता है?)
Yeh card lene ke liye kuch simple rules hain:
- Aapko Unorganised Sector mein kaam karna chahiye: Jaise Construction worker, Street vendor, Domestic help, Gig/Platform worker (Zomato/Swiggy/Uber/Ola), Rickshaw puller, Agriculture labourer, Tailor, Washerman, Carpenter, Fisherman, etc.
- Umra (Age): Aapki umra 16 saal se lekar 59 saal ke beech mein honi chahiye.
- Income Tax Waale Nahi Hoge: Aap income tax bharte ho toh ye card nahi bana sakte.
- Not a Member of EPFO/ESIC: Agar aapka EPFO (Provident Fund) ya ESIC (Insurance) mein account hai, toh aap eligible nahi ho.
Documents Required
Bilkul basic documents chahiye sirf:
- Aadhaar Card (Mobile number se linked hona chahiye).
- Mobile Number (OTP verify karne ke liye).
- Bank Account details (Account number and IFSC code). Isse direct benefit transfer hota hai.
Note: Koi income proof, caste certificate, ya photo upload nahi karna padta. Aadhaar se photo auto aati hai! Easy hai na?
How to Apply (Registration Process / कैसे Apply करें?)
Bilkul FREE hai ye card banana. Aap do tarah se apply kar sakte ho:
Option 1: Online (Ghar Bethhe)
- Sabse pehle jaao:
https://eshram.gov.in(official website). - Wahan “Register on e-Shram” button par click karo.
- Apna Aadhaar-linked mobile number daalo aur OTP verify karo.
- Ab ek form khulega. Usme apna Bank Account number, IFSC code, occupation (kaam ka type), aur thoda personal information bharna hai.
- Submit karne ke baad, aapka e-Shram card instantly download ho jayega with 12-digit UAN number.
Option 2: Offline (CSC Center Se)
Agar internet nahi hai ya computer nahi hai, toh aap Common Service Centre (CSC) ya internet wali dukaan par ja sakte ho. Wahan waala bhaiya aapki registration kar dega. Thoda sa service charge lag sakta hai (around ₹20-30).

- Gig Workers Coverage: Budget 2025-26 mein announcement hua ki 1 crore (10 million) gig workers (jaise Zomato/Swiggy delivery partners, Uber/Ola drivers) ko e-Shram se identity card aur healthcare benefits milenge.
- Social Security Integration: Ab e-Shram portal 14 Central and State welfare schemes ke saath integrated ho chuka hai. Iska matlab aap ek hi portal se sab kuch access kar sakte ho – pension se lekar Awas yojana tak.
- Mobile App Available: Ministry of Labour ne official e-Shram mobile application bhi launch kar di hai, taaki registration aur bhi aasan ho jaye.
